This “Boringly Easy” One-Person Business Model Can Make You Millions (And No One Is Talking About It)

This is the first time we are going to be talking about a business model for the second time on this newsletter but there’s a good reason for it.

I’ve found a couple of new players in the space that have started very recently that are just PRINTING money with their simple strategies.

And what they are doing is so simple that you could start tomorrow and do the exact same thing.

And the business model is of course….

Newsletters. Yes, the thing you are reading right now.

Yes. Email. That thing that you probably think nobody uses anymore. It can actually generate you millions of dollars.

And in this Newsletter. I’m going to be talking about newsletters. inside of my newsletter. Pretty Meta.

What Is a Newsletter?

To put it quite simply.

it’s exactly what you are reading right now lol.

Believe it or not, people are making millions writing little emails like this one.

When I first heard about this, honestly I was very taken aback by it. Because personally other than my work email, I really don’t open my email at all.

But a lot of people do….. In fact, here’s my personal statistics.

40%. Nearly half of the people who sign up actually read my newsletter every week. Which is exactly what an advertiser wants to see when looking for something to sponsor.

So Here’s How Newsletter’s Work:

Potential readers are sent to a signup page where they can subscribe to your newsletter.

After that two things happen.

First. If you are using a platform like beehiiv like I am. You are able to turn on this thing called “Boosts”.

When that is on. The reader is prompted to sign up for another newsletter as soon as they sign up for yours. You probably saw this when you signed up for mine.

And for every person that signs up for this. I get a few dollars.

And just from this, I have seen people making thousands of dollars a month.

But that’s pennies compared to the real way you can make money from this.

How Are People Making Tons Of Money With Newsletters?

Here, Let Me Show You An Example:

This Newsletter is called ProfitSnack.

Initially, I believe it was called Synthetic Mind, and it was focused on AI but since then he has pivoted to more of a general business newsletter.

He started the business about six months ago. and has grown it to over 70,000 subscribers.

And in the last month, he has made $17,396 from Newsletter Sponsorships. ($17,000 a month just from writing words. Insane)

And that’s where the real money is at.

Sponsors are willing to pay for eyeballs

In fact. On average you can expect to make anywhere from 40 cents to 70 cents per month. per subscriber.

Meaning if you grow your newsletter to 10,000 subscribers. You will be able to make $4,000 to $7,000 a month, every month.

But that’s not the only way.

You can also do affiliate deals like the one that I just did up there ☝️

Or you can create a paid version of your newsletter and offer deeper insights or more issues a week.

Or honestly, anything else you want.

The reason newsletters are so powerful is because you own your audience.

Not TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or anything else. YOU DO.

And no one can take that away from you. You can’t get banned or have the algorithm dislike you. You are in control.

So How Can You Do Something Similar?

Some of the tactics I have personally used to grow my newsletter is advertising it on any channels I already have like Youtube and TikTok.

However, if you’re asking yourself “What if I don’t have any sort of following?“

Here’s a couple of different options:

1) Reddit

One thing I did initially was post a piece of my content to different subreddits.

Luckily a couple of my posts got some traction and I was able to get close to half a million eyeballs to one of my pieces and in turn get about 200-300 newsletter subscribers.

And it’s pretty great because it doesn’t matter how many followers you have on Reddit at all.

But beware, Reddit is not a kind place lol.

2) Twitter

I personally dont have much experience with this but there are tons of people making threads that are similar to their newsletter and then linking their newsletter at the bottom.

In fact, I think this is one of the most common ways I have seen people advertising.

One easy way I have been hearing that you can grow is just by engaging with other people who are similar to you in the comments.

Probably going to give this a shot myself.

3) TikTok

Before you say “I don’t have TikTok followers“.

That doesn’t matter at all. TikTok has democratized going viral.

Quite simply, if you make a good video, you get views.

And I am beginning to see tons of different accounts that are making simple engaging content and then linking back to their newsletter in their bio.

In fact, here’s a list of them.

And yeah, Once you have that in place you’re all set.

So go out there, start your own, and kill it!
