This Business Model is Trash (literally) 🚛🚛

Hey it’s Alex,

Now with a title like that, you’re probably wondering why I would even be covering something like this. Why would I talk about a business model that’s trash?

However…….. in this last year alone…

The man we are going to talk about in this issue probably made more than your favorite guru selling dropshipping courses.

And what he does is literally something that I have NEVER heard anyone talk about.

His name is I Rent Dumpsters on twitter……

No I am not joking lmao. But hear me out hear me out.

Before you clown me for talking about a literal garbage man on a newsletter where I try to help you become the founder of your next business.

Let me just tell you how much he makes………

Sound fair? Okay.

You ready??

.

.

.

IT’S $600,000 A YEAR. SIX HUNDRED……….. THOUSAND.

THAT’S LIKE, 37,500 CHIPOTLE BOWLS WITH DOUBLE CHICKEN AND GUAC.

YOU CAN PROBABLY GET 60,000 BOWLS IF YOU DO REGULAR CHICKEN NO GUAC.

THAT’LL GET YOU A LITERAL HOUSE.

OR LIKE 3 PORSCHE 911’S.

Alright,

Now that I have your attention….. let’s get into it.

So, @irentdumpsters on Twitter. (I don’t know his real name, let’s call him Josh)

When Josh was 21 years old, he had two choices to make…

He could either go the corporate route or buy out this small dumpster rental business he found..

The business had 1 old truck. 20 beat-up dumpsters.

He decided to bet on himself and bought out the existing business for $180,000 his senior year of college.

He was now the proud owner of 20 dumpsters and a 2007 f750.

How did he have $180,000 at 21 years old?

Honestly, I don’t know lol. Someone asked him that and he said he “caught a huge bull market“. Whatever that means…

Anyway.

that investment did extremely well

He was able to keep growing and expanding the business and he now owns 50 dumpsters and a 2022 Kenworth 270.

And he’s expecting to do $600,000 this year. Making anywhere from $40,000 to $57,000 a week on average.

So what exactly does he do and what does he charge?

Imagine you’re a roofer about to tear off a roof. That’s A LOT of garbage.

You can’t just haul that away in your little pick-up truck. That would take a minimum of ten trips.

And then you’re going to scratch up your brand new truck that you just spent 80 grand on.

You don’t want that kind of headache……

So what do you do instead?

You call up your Dumpster Rental Guy Josh.

You pay him $525 dollars to drop off a dumpster at your site.

You don’t really care about the $525 cause ur about to make like 20k on this roof anyway.

Then, when your guys have hauled everything in the dumpster… You call up Josh again and he just comes and picks it up. Super easy, super simple.

And all Josh needs to do now is haul the trash to his local dumpster.

And the best part? He doesn’t even need to get out of his truck to touch the garbage. He just clicks a button and the dumpster is lifted up and gravity does its job.

Now Josh has 50 other trailers. So he’s not just renting out to roofers…

He’s driving around all day dropping off trailers to other

  • construction workers

  • Tree cutters

  • Contractors

  • that guy who is finally cleaning out his gross garage

  • or your grandma who wants to clean out her backyard.

And every single time he does that. he collects another $525 dollars for the day.

Pretty crazy, It’s like driving around collecting money from people.

And the ads that he uses to find these clients are honestly pretty simple. Here’s an example of one I found

Something I would do personally is PLASTER my company name, number, and website. ALL OVER the dumpsters and trucks to get more clients.

You could also put bandit signs all over your city.

Put yourself everywhere on Craigslist.

Maybe start running some Google ads.

Basically, the possibilities are endless. And the money you can make from it….

Is pretty insane…

Real quick, before we end. I want to say thank you for reading to the very end! Let me know what you think of this week’s issue and what you think I could improve.

Thanks, Alex.
