My Experience, Going From 0-$40k A Month, Then Back Down To $0 lol

Hey, it’s Alex.

Generally in this newsletter, I like to make posts talking about a business model which I’ve learned about that week.

However, If I’m being honest, I didn’t learn anything this week lol.

And I have been in a bit of a slump.

However I don’t want to lose the momentum I’ve built writing this newsletter. So I think if I write out what’s going on, maybe it’ll help me see a bigger picture. idk.

This newsletter is going to be a bit more personal..

so if you aren’t into that, totally understand, see you next week.

Here’s what we are going over today:

  • 🧍‍♂️ How I Went From 0-$20k A Month

  • 📈 $20k-$40k

  • 📉 What Went Wrong And What I Am Going To Do Next

Read Time: 4 minutes 08 seconds

How I Went From 0-$20k A Month:

Now if you don’t know, TikTok is currently paying anywhere from 30 cents to a dollar per thousand views you get on videos over 1 minute long. It’s called the Creativity Program

So a couple of months ago, I bought a TikTok account for about $500 and started testing different formats.

It took about 2 months to find something that stuck. But when I found it. Boy did it go crazy.

On my first day of having a viral video. I earned $700 in a single day. I was mind-blown.

The next day I learned $1200, and the day after that. I earned $2700. In a single day.

I was baffled.

It felt like fake money.

I had earned close to $5,000 in 3 days, by posting dumb little tiktok’s.

For the next month, I was averaging anywhere from $500 to $1200 a day. And I began to get really good at these tiktok’s.

I literally had an entire schedule and system I built to be able to create high-quality original content, daily.

And in that first month of posting consistently, I earned $22,000.

In the middle of this. A friend of mine who used to help me get sponsors back in the day hit me up. He had something for me.

He found an app that wanted to promote.

In a big way.

$20k-$40k A Month:

The app was seeing how much views people were getting on TikTok and wanted to start doing promotions.

They had a fixed rate that they were willing to pay per post and I was the first guy the friend of mine texted to start testing.

The first week of testing went great, Each video got a couple hundred thousand views. And I ended up getting paid over a grand in a week.

The friend then asked me if I had any other accounts to promote with.

I didn’t.

But I wasn’t going to let an opportunity pass me by.

So I asked him, what if I found other accounts that would want to make these posts, and I supplied them with content?

He was game.

I started reaching out to every account similar to mine anywhere I could. And I was able to build up a bunch of accounts that were down to post.

Basically,

  1. I made content

  2. I sent it to them

  3. they posted it

  4. I take a cut for managing and creating content

  5. the brand gets its posts.

I don’t want to get into too much detail, because I am still currently working on this business,

but at my peak, I had made about $30k in a month from this business, and then another 11k from the TikTok Creativity Program

What Went Wrong And What I Am Going To Do Next:

To put it simply lol

People began getting used to the same posts, and not engaging as much, therefore the views began to slow down.

And it no longer made sense for the brand to pay as much as they were.

So they pulled out.

But not only that, TikTok kicked me out of the Creativity Program for “security issues“.

Absolutely no explanation.

I honestly still think they kick out accounts that are making too much money lol.

Anyway.

within a week, I went from making close to $1,000 a day for multiple months straight. To absolutely 0.

And that’s where I have been for the past couple of weeks.

And it sucks lol.

it’s kind of funny because a lot of people on YouTube see me as an expert who has everything figured out.

But I guess everyone has random failures sometimes.

And what can you do?

All you can really do is keep moving forward.

God is still good. God is still faithful.

My plan currently is to

  • Take a bit of a break. Not completely stop working, but be less hard on myself. And allow myself to rest.

  • Keep working on the newsletter, there are also some new marketing strategies with this I want to try. Will give updates

  • Keep working on my YouTube.

  • Start building new TikTok pages, as well as find more clients to do ads for.

Hopefully, everything works out haha.

God bless you.

Hey! Before you leave..
